Abstract:
High-resolution numerical wave models, being able to generate forecast products of the oceanographic data, are nowadays used more and more to provide in near real time scale the environmental support of insignificant areas. This concerns especially the coastal environment where the influence of the non-linear effects is much higher than the offshore areas. However, while the general research was focused in the developing the physics of the spectral phase averaged models, by improving the non-linear source terms, there is still a strong nead of easy to use interfaces for an adequate data pre- post-processing. With this motivation, the goal of the present work was to develop a new computional environment consisting of a tool for grid generations and analysis, with graphical and numerical outputs (BARCO) that would be used in correlation with an advanced version of a nowcast tool (TOTAL WAVES)
